** 2024년 의정부고 2학년 영어 1차 지필과 2차 지필 (교과서 3단원) 관련 내용

생물을 분류할 때 우리는 '종속과목강문계역'을 쓰고 한다.

종, 속, 과, 목, 강, 문, 계, 역이 순서대로 영어로

species, genus, family, order, class, phylum, kingdom, domain.

Carl Linnaeus라는 과학자가 Binomial nomenclature을 제시한 것으로

알려져있는데 (2015 개정 교육과정 생명과학II에서 '학명'으로 배우는 것)

genus와 species를 알려주는 식. 예를 들어 우리,

인간은 Homo sapiens인데 homo가 genus를 알려주고

sapiens가 species를 알려준다 생각할 수 있음.

저는 고양이 한 마리랑 같이 지내는데

얘는 Felis catus 임, binomial nomenclature가.

Felis가 genus이고 catus가 species라고 이해할 수 있겠음.

참고로 species 하위 분류로 subspecies를 쓰기도 함.

그래서 3과 본문에 나온 '고양잇과'는 Felidae, 'Feline'은 '고양이와 관련된'

keystone species (핵심종) : 비교적 적은 개체수가 존재하면서도 생태계에 큰 영향을 미치는 생물종

foundation species : 군집 (두 개 이상의 종이 함께 있는) 을 형성하는 데에 큰 역할을 하는 생물종

indicator species : 환경의 특정 조건을 측정하는 데에 활용할 수 있는 생물종

invasive species (외래종) : 기존 환경에 새롭게 유입된 생물종

flagship species : 생물 다양성 보존에 도움이 되는 생물종, 얘네 지키면 다른 애들도 좋음

umbrella species (우산종) : 주로 keystone species나 flagship species일 수 있는데,

얘네 지키면 다른 종들도 지켜짐 (먹이사슬의 꼭대기에 위치하곤 함)

그래서 호랑이가 우산종이라는 말은... 먹이사슬 꼭대기에 위치하기 때문에

호랑이가 급격히 줄어듦 --> 사슴이 늘어남 --> 풀떼기가 줄어듦 --> 사슴이 줄어듦 --> 호랑이가 줄어듦 (악순환)

호랑이가 급격히 늘어남 --> 사슴이 줄어듦 --> 풀떼기가 늘어남 --> ...

와 같이 생태계 평형을 깰 수 있는 일이 발생하지 않도록 관리를 잘 해주어야 한다 뭐 그런

1차 지필 20번, count라는 동사는 '세다'의 의미일 때는 목적어를 필요로 하는 타동사이고

'중요하다'의 의미일 때는 목적어를 필요로 하지 않는 자동사임.

따라서 주어 everything에 대해 everything counts (목적어) 혹은 

everything counts로 사용될 수 있고

everything can be counted 혹은 everything is counted로 쓰이면

'세다'라는 의미이고 everything can count나 everything counts로 쓰이면

'중요하다'

"(중요한) 모든 것들이 셀 수 있는 것은 아니고, (셀 수 있는) 모든 것들이 중요한 것은 아니다." 영어로

문장을 and를 기준으로 1번과 2번으로 나눌 때,

어법적으로 적절하냐와 의미가 적절하냐

총 4가지를 확인함으로써 오답 선지를 만들어낼 수 있음. 예를 들어

문장 순서를 바꾼 것도 괜찮았다면

어법적으로 잘못된 것은 질이 낮으니 따로 논하지 않겠음.

참고로 실제 선지는 다음과 같았다. (2024 의정부고2 1차지필)

동사 count 두 개에 모두 s가 빠져있다. everything은 3인칭 단수 취급하여 동사에 -s가 붙어야 한다. 수정해주면 다음과 같은데

Not everything (that can be counted) counts, and not everything (that counts) counts.

이는 ABBA 구조이므로 정답이 될 수 있었을 것

2. Not everything (that can be counted) count, and not everything (that count) can be counted.

마찬가지로 동사 count와 주격 관계대명사절 내 count에 s가 빠져있다. 고쳐주면

Not everything (that can be counted) counts, and not everything (that counts) can be counted.

인데 이는 ABBA 구조이므로 정답이 될 수 있었을 것

3. Not everything (that can be counted), and not everything (that can be counted) count.

얘는 동사가 하나 없고 count에 s가 빠져있다.

따라서 Not everything (that is counted) can be counted, and not everything (that can be counted) counts. 로 바꿀 수 있을 것이고

의미는 [세어지는 모든 것이 세어질 수 있는 것은 아니고, 세어질 수 있는 모든 것이 중요한 것은 아니다.]로
