1. In an age overwhelmed by an unprecedented flood of information, common sense consistently cautions against the indiscriminate assimilation of data, contending that such unfiltered intake culminates merely in cognitive disarray and the paralysis of sound decision-making. The analogy is often made to a traveler weighed down by an unwieldy, chaotic assortment of luggage, unable to find essentials when needed most. Recently, in fact, such a perspective may turns out to overlook the profound cognitive benefits that emerge from the seemingly aimless and voluminous gathering of knowledge. The human mind, much like a wild garden, often thrives when seeds of every variety are scattered for organic growth that cannot be planned in advance. While chaos may appear contradictory to order, it can paradoxically serve as the fertile ground from which new patterns and paradigms emerge. Thus, in                    , one may increase the kind of intellectual capacity that nurtures spontaneous innovation and insight in an increasingly complex world.

① cultivating a wild garden where every flower is free to bloom

② erecting high walls to shield the garden from invasive species

③ pruning extraneous branches to maintain the amount of fruit

④ orchestrating a controlled ecosystem through curated gardening

⑤ anchoring gardening strictly within established models

2. Throughout history, mathematics and the sciences have been celebrated as the pinnacles of human rationality, offering the comforting illusion that the universe is fundamentally ordered, predictable, and reducible to elegant laws. However, many of the greatest advances in human understanding have emerged not from rigid adherence to existing frameworks, but from imaginative leaps often sparked by disciplines traditionally seen as more chaotic, such as philosophy, literature, and the arts. Indeed, mathematical revolutions have frequently owed their origins to conceptual disruptions more characteristic of the humanities than of the sciences. Yet it remains tempting to dismiss the unpredictable, speculative aspects of inquiry as mere distractions from the serious business of systematic knowledge-building. Nevertheless, history reveals that enduring progress often arises precisely at the uneasy intersection between law and imagination. Thus, cultivating genuine insight requires                      .

① isolating scientific inquiry from the humanities

② incorporating disciplined reasoning with conceptual exploration

③ anchoring all intellectual pursuits within established logical systems

④ suppressing imaginative impulses for constant progress

⑤ privileging abstract speculation without irrational concept
