저는 이 문제 풀 때 기울어진 글씨 부분과 밑줄친 부분이 서로 대립되는 부분이라고 생각하고 풀었거든요. 그래서 increases the growth of the tough species 라고 답했구요.

다시 읽어봐도 helps to maintain the quality of the pasture. 이라고 답할만한 뚜렷한 근거는 안 보이는데 이 문제 어떻게 푸셨나요?

예시로 나온 wild hoofed animals & buffalo 의 밀집된 무리 형성과 풀뜯기 관련 얘기에서도 이것이 풀의 종이 균형있게 or 불균형하게 자라난다에 대한 근거는 없잖아요.

첫줄에보면 좋은 풀만 뜯어먹는다고 하잖아요. 막줄엔 좋은풀도 먹고 나쁜풀도 먹고 + 확정으로 똥싸서 땅을 기름지게 유지
이렇게 풀었어요~

저랑 사고과정이 동일하세네요. 저도 밑줄 친 부분이 대립되는 내용이라 생각하고 3번 골랐거든요 ㅠ.ㅠ
generally eat the tender, best-tasting grasses first, leaving the tough, not so tasty species to flourish and gradually dominate the vegetation. 이 부분 보고 short-term, intensive grazing이면 짧은 시간 동안 먹는 거니까 처음에 연하고 맛있는 풀만 먹는다는 거하고 연결시켜서 increases the growth of the tough species라고 생각했어요.

ㅋㅋ저랑 똑같네요. 저도 오랜시간 자유롭게 먹을 때에도 맛없는 풀은 남는데, 짧은 시간 집약적으로 먹으면 더더욱 맛없는 건 남겠구나.. 이렇게 추론했어요.

'시간'의 개념으로 접근하지 말고 '공간'의 개념으로 추론해야 맞는문제 같아요.
우리는 결국 짧은기간 먹이면 질이 나쁜 풀만 남는다> 로 추론한거고,

다른 분들은 집약적으로 먹이니까 질이 나쁜 풀도 먹는다> 로 추론한 것 같아요.

다시 공부해 보고 왔는데요.
첫문장에서 말하는 건 a small number of livestock 에 대한 이야기이고, 빈칸 문장부터는 large hoofed animals로 넘어가는데 이 동물들이 form dense herds and graze briefly but intensively 고 해서 a small number가 아닌 많은 수를 이루니까 첫문장과 반대상황이 되더군요.ㅠ그래서 마지막 문장의 livestock은 흐름상 large hoofed animal로 보는 게 타당해서 마지막 문장이 빈칸에 대한 답의 근거가 되구요. 아쉽네요ㅠ

전 시험은 안쳤지만.. 본문의 내용은 small number of livestock은 자유롭게 돌아다니면서 좋은 풀만 골라 먹고, 이에 따라 남겨진 안 좋은 풀들이 많이 번식해버린다. 그래서 짧고 집중적으로 먹이는 것이 (빈칸) 하다. 그리고 빈칸 뒷 내용은 짧고 집중적으로 먹이는 것의 구체적 이점과 예시 내용들이네요. helps to keep weeds in check and encourages growth of more desirable species. 이게 엄청난 힌트인듯?

단기간에풀뜯어먹기가 빈칸 밑부분에 but뒤 내용이고 마지막문장 forcing부터는 단기간에풀뜯어먹기가가져오는 효용성(잡초없애고 바람직한생물종성장하게한다)을말하고있는것같다고판단했어요 답의to maintain the quality of the pasture 가 그런의미아닌가해요 그래서 빈칸주관식으로 단기간 풀뜯어먹기는 잡초없애고생물다양화된다(+)로 일단 썼어요 그냥 저는 이렇게 판단하는게 맞나 글적어봐요!
