걱정되고 궁금하실껍니다. 시험이 쉽다고 해도, 누구나 1등급 맞는 건 아니니까죠..

EBS 연계율이 낮아질 꺼라는 전망 하에, EBS 지문의 중요도를 어느 정도에 맞춰서 공부해야 할지도 걱정되실 꺼구요..

지난 주말에 현장 수업 자료 중 공유하고 싶은 문제가 있어서 올립니다.

출제 유형 ; 요지

24강 03 소재 - 좋은 사진을 찍기 위해 필요한 기술

1) Taking photographs (is / are) enjoyable and challenging in all sorts of ways.

2) It's a powerful means of storing memories, showing situations or expressing views which does not insist that you (are / be) good at words.

3) What photography demands of you (is / are) skills of a different sort that are independent of the technology used to capture the picture.

4) Of these, the most important (is /are) the ability to observe - sharpen up your ‘seeing’ of surroundings, people and simple everyday objects in the world around you.

정답 및 해설

1) Taking photographs is ~
정답은 is 입니다. taking 은 현재 분사가 아니라, 동명사라 단수 취급하죠

2) ~ which does not insist that you (are / be) good at words.
네가 말을 잘해야 한다는 것을 요구하지 않는다. 조동사 should 생략

3) 이 문제가 젤 까다로울 겁니다. 미리 답부터 .... are 입니다.
What photography demands of you (is / are) skills of a different sort that are independent of the technology used to capture the picture.
what 이 주어절이 되면, 즉 대부분의 명사절이 주어가 되면 단수 취급하는데,
what 은 원래 관계사 절이므로, 생략되었던 선행사를 주어로 보면 복수동사가 답이 되죠. 원래 문장을 살펴보면

The skills that photography demands of you are skills of a different sort
그 다음 문장도 관계사 문장인데..
that are independent of the technology used to capture the picture.
두번째 접속사인 that 의 선행사는 skills 이기때문에 주격관계대명사의 동사는 복수 동사인 are 이 된 것입니다.

4) Of these, the most important is ~ is 가 정답입니다.
the+형용사가 ~한 사람들의 의미일때는 복수 취급하지만, 추상적 개념을 의미할때는 단수 취급합니다. 예를 들어 the + rich (부자인 사람들 - 복수 / 부 - 단수)

5) Avoid taking these things for granted ~ granted 가 정답인 이유는 다 아시죠?
take ~ for granted (~을 당연시 여기다) 라는 구문입니다. take 의 가목적어로 대명사 it 이 오면 뒤에 진목적어절인 that 절이 오는 것도 같이 정리해 두세요.

6) Develop your awareness of the way lighting and viewpoint can transform appearances, and be quick thinking ~ be 동사의 보어로 형용사가 적절하므로, 준동사인 thinking 을 수식하는 부사로 보면 안됩니다.

7) Become skilled in these areas and you will be a good photographer.
명령문 and S will ~ 해라 그러면 ~ 할 것이다. 구문이죠.
반면, 명령문 or S will ~ 해라 그렇지 않으면.. 도 챙겨서 정리하시구요.

한 문제에 관계사와 문장의 구성성분의 의미를 확인해 보기 좋은 지문이라 공유해 봅니다. 한 주를 잘 보내려면 하루하루를 잘 보내야 겠죠.
