인수 영어 16쪽 질문이요~

Question

there is no single situation which is potentially so capable of giving some satisfaction at all levels of basic needs as is the occupation
마지막 문장에서 is가 왜 있는지 궁금해서 ebs에 질문을 했더니
is와 tee occupation이 도치됐고 as가 유사관계대명사로서 which절 전체를 선행사로 하니 뭐니..
두 번 질문했는데 똑같은 답이 나와서 유사관계대명사에 관한 정보를 얻고
문장을 다시 봤어요.
그래서 생각해봤는데
there is no single situation which is potentially so capable of giving some satisfaction at all levels of basic needs as is the occupation
이 문장의 뒷부분이
as the occpation (which is capable of giving some satisfaction at all levels of basic needs).
이 문장에서 괄호친 부분이 생략된 문장이 아닌가 하는 생각이 들었어요.
제 생각이 맞나요? 근데 그렇게 하면 is가 없어야 하는데 제가 틀리게 생각한 건가요? ㅜㅜ

안녕하세요? 오르비 인강강사 상변선생입니다. 

EBS에서는 작년에도 유사관계대명사라는 말도 안되는 설명을 한 적이 있었죠 ^^ 이번 것도 그냥 일반적인 구조일 뿐이랍니다. 

먼저 원래의 문장으로 다시 환원을 하면 다음과 같이 됩니다. 

there is no single situation which is potentially so capable of giving some satisfaction at all levels of basic needs as the occupation is capable of giving some satisfaction. 

as 원급 as는 원급비교구문에서 가장 흔한 형태이구요, 이것의 부정형태는 not so(as) 원급 as형태가 됩니다. 앞에 so capable 은 저 앞에 있는 no 란 부정어 때문에 쓰인 구조이구요... It's an attractive car but not so exciting to drive as the Ford Mustang. 같은 예문을 보시면 이해가 되실겁니다. 

부정어(S) not so 원급 as X의 형태는 "X가 가장 ~하다"란 최상급의 의미로 쓰입니다. 

원급비교와 비교급 비교에서 as나 than뒤에서는 원래 도치가 자주 일어납니다. 그리고 이 도치는 조동사나 be동사만 주어 앞으로 나가는 수행사도치의 한 종류가 됩니다. 

예문) Women fall in love faster than do men. -> Women fall in love faster than men fall in love fast. 
The actual content is not so interesting as is the comments. -> The actual content is not so interesting as the comments is interesting

유사관계대명사로 봐도 되고 as 원급 as 원급 비교로 봐도 됩니다. 원급 비교로 이해할 때 더 해석이 용이하긴 합니다.
