Human beings are irrational about dreams the same
way they are irrational about a lot of things. We
make dumb choices all the time, based on silly
information like racial bias or the misunderstanding
of statistics ─ or dreams. That’s why we invest
meaning in dreams. It is said that dumb choices
aren’t necessarily bad ones. A final finding from the
new study: when people have dreams about good
things happening to their good friends, they are
more likely to say those dreams are meaningful than
when they have dreams about bad things happening
to their friends. In short, our interpretation of
dreams may say a lot less about some ridiculous
search for hidden truth than it does about another

인간들은 많은 것들에서 그러하듯이 꿈에서도 비이성적이고 멍청한 선택을 할 수 있으므로, 합리성을 따지는게 아니라 의미를 부여하며, 위에서 "친구들한테 나쁜일이 생기기보다 좋은일이 생기기를 빌어줄 때(dream) 그 꿈이 유의미하다라고 말했으니 답은 optimistic thinking인 것 같아요.

그런데 이 글은 밑에 than it does about another enduring human quality optimistic thinking ?? 비문 아닌가?? 하는 생각이 좀 들었고요.

저도 거기 부분이 해석이 안되서 답을 그냥 어거지로 갖다끼운느낌이 들어영 ;;;; 저걸 어떻게 해석해야하지

than it does about another enduring human quality ; optimistic thinking 라고 나와야 하지 않나 싶네요;;

즉, 우리의 꿈에 대한 해석은 숨겨진 진실을 향한 우스꽝스러운 탐구에서보다 긍정적인 생각이라는 면에서 더 관련이 있을 것이다. 정도로 해석 할 것 같아요.
